Hi, I'm Dr Gillbanks

I am passionate about providing care to people with psychological difficulties. My aim is to make a difference to the lives of the people I treat, guiding them along their journey of self-discovery towards a healthier and happier version of themselves.
As a clinical psychologist I have had a high level of training in the delivery of many different models of therapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Drawing on my experience and knowledge, along with evidence-based practice, your therapy is completely tailored to your needs using a person-centred approach, which is a significant factor in achieving a positive outcome.

I understand that seeking support for you or your child's psychological and emotional needs is a daunting prospect, which is why I take great care to develop a good therapeutic relationship with you. Whether your treatment is short or long term, you can be assured that I am committed to providing you with the care you need, when you need it most.
SERVICES
This can be provided at an individual, group or commercial level. Parenting assessments, court reports and mental health training for businesses can also be provided on request.
INDIVIDUALS
With vast experience working with adults, adolescents and children, therapy can be provided to cover specific mental health difficulties or more exploratory purposes.

A wide range of mental health difficulties can be treated including depression, anxiety, phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, eating disorders and trauma.
FAMILY/COUPLE'S
Having worked within the NHS, I have developed extensive experience working with families and couples.

With experience in systemic approaches to managing psychological and emotional distress, I believe it is extremely important to understand the family system and narrative around each individual to create a working psychological formulation and treatment plan.
BUSINESS
Meeting the emotional and psychological needs of your workforce is shown to increase productivity and staff morale.

I offer mental health training and awareness in the corporate sector, along with consultancy and supervision of your workforce's psychological needs. Workshops can be tailored to satisfy business needs.
